My kids attended Sangster….one started 3rd grade AAP from out of state without a full time GT program. He adapted seamlessly. My other tested in and his transition was also smooth.

I found AAP to heave less homework than grades 1 and 2. I loved the school.

Two kids - neither have felt like it was a pressure cooker. It is not our base school but I think if you got involved went to all of the activities there you would think there was.

I have 3 kids and my older two went to sangster - and they did not offer LLIV at our base at that time. I would have kept them at our base if they offered LLIV mainly due to sibling reasons.

We moved our kids to Sangster and have no regrets

I’ve had kids as transfers to Sangster for AAP IV for the past 7 years. Our base school is fine, but I much prefer Sangster. I have not found it to be a pressure cooker. I like that the kids are aware of grades and strive to get good grades. Perhaps this causes some kids to stress out, but mine are not. I like the administration and find them to be very responsive, involved, and fun. The AAP teachers we’ve had range from absolutely amazing to standard with no issues.

I do not feel the same sense of community there as I did at our base school. I’m sure it’s there for the families that are zoned there, but I have not made a ton of connections with Sangster families. My kids have friends and love it, but I still kinda feel like a stranger there. But I do not feel that our base school offers a comparative education experience.

Overall, I highly recommend it.

Anyone willing to speak about the student culture at Sangster, especially for someone coming in as an AAP transfer? Is it too much of a pressure cooker? Is there a sense of community?
