Match.com in 2004. We were 23 and 25. I did know who he was peripherally when I saw his profile, so he wasn’t a complete stranger.

We met in grad school.

Through friends. Before that, never even met anyone worth dating or marrying. I worked in restaurant business so plenty of losers working those jobs.
Met a few customers who are still friends, but they are high achieving doctors/engineers/ financiers. I'm not their caliber though we still hang out twenty years later.
Not sure where the regular people are.

Met in college when I was 18 and he was 19. We have now been married 10 years, together for 20. Just got so lucky that my first serious, long term relationship wound up being w someone so wonderful. I can’t imagine how hard it is out there in the dating world.

I was 17 when we met, he was 21. He was my next door neighbor. We didn't start dating until I was 19 or 20? I was 26 when we got married.

Pp here. I feel like I hear a lot more horror stories now from my coworkers in their 20s than I ever experienced or my friends experienced back when we were on it.

I met DH on match in 2007. Moved In together at 1 yr. Married in 2010.

Met in college at 21/22. Not sure what would have happened if DH hadn't stayed for a post-grad year, as we had only been dating a few months when he graduated. We married at 24/25. Celebrating our 34th anniversary next month.

S/O related to a couple other posts about how adults meet and meeting when you have social anxiety.

How old were you when you met your spouse? Where/how did you meet? How long until you got married? Any other relevant details appreciated.

Me. F. Met when I moved to DC and knew no one. Introduced through basically the only person I knew. Friends at first. Got married about 2.5 years later at 29. Lived together for about a year before.

Amazing to think of how I would have met anyone otherwise. No OLD at the time (approx ‘98). I hadn’t joined any clubs or groups (didn’t know of any). Worked with older ppl. First foray out of a school environment where you could date on a whim. So had no plan how to meet friends or the opposite sex. And I’m lucky it worked out, I think.
