So if there are over 30ish AAP4 kids at Westbriar, there will definitely be 2 classes. And that's likely to happen because Westbriar will get both Stenwood and Freedom Hill. On the other hand, Stenwood's principal can fill up its L4 class with local L4 kids to even out the classes across both genEd and local AAP.

Do you mean principal-place kids? Because our base is our center and at least one of my DCs definitely has principal placed kids filling out the class. I know because I know the parents and they told me that the kids were principal placed, not newly level IV eligible this year.

Is your DC in Westbriar?

How does current Westbriar AAP families like the AAP program? I have heard the Stenwood principle placed system creates a big class size.

There are two classrooms, with 15-20 kids per classroom.

15-20 per classroom sounds very ideal.

I heard about the size of Stenwood AAP class is pretty big, like 28+ kids. Not sure if that's also the case for Westbriar.

Yes to all those concerns. Westbriar is "better" in those respects. The only downside to choosing westbriar may be travel time, but that's highly dependent on your specific address.

Would love to hear thoughts on stenwood vs westbriar for level iv. We love the stenwood community but also know westbriar may be a bit more rigorous, better extracurriculars (interested in odyssey of the mind), etc. Ive heard some mixed things on quality of instruction at Stenwood for level 4. Am aware that the kids start together in one class at stenwood for 3 to 6, which is fine.
