True plus even now here when you call the cops they don't really want to take reports.

People in this area called the Police for everything.
I took a call yesterday from someone wanting to report the crime of their Tesla being scratched at the dealership. Dealership weren’t taking it seriously……… dispatcher.

Lol, thanks for the laugh!

Agree, could you please link your research. My in laws have a place in Bethany and never lock their doors (which, admittedly, I think is utterly stupid). I know it is a different place in the off season for a variety of reasons (local drug issues) but I never thought of it as a high crime area. If it’s a high crime area, my neighborhood in Alexandria must be off the charts.

The guy who mows my yard had the police called in on him in a beach community because he was mowing a yard to early in the morning. The police actually came out.

He no longer does yard work in the beach areas due to some extreme hoa rules and due to residents calling the police on a blue collar guy just trying to make a living.

Because of the poor people who live there to work in service jobs for 3 months when the super rich come in.

Yes please link
Your research specific to Rehoboth and Lewes.
We have a Condo there and go frequently, also have no idea what you’re talking about. The crime there is really low compared to the DC area.

That's ridiculous. Some websites state that that's some of the highest crime rates in the country! They do not specify whether most of time crime happens seasonal when people flock there all summer but maybe thats it? What else explains this high of crime so such a low number of population? It's baffling.

Delaware is trashy off season
