+1 for Antibes.
Just chill there.
There is nothing better in life.

Will you have a car? It’s less vital in places like Montpellier or Lyon, but Cassis does not have a great way of getting in and out without a car.

I am beginning to plan a 6-week trip with my family to Europe June-July 2025. Kids will be 7 & 10 and we've done a lot of traveling but this would be our longest trip. We will spend 2.5 weeks Italy ending in the Dolomites. We are then thinking of spending several days in Switzerland before going somewhere in between Switzerland and Spain (Valencia) for 1 week. Because the first 3 weeks are pretty fast-paced, I'd like to have a slower-paced week in France, maybe beach vibes but a pool is nice too (I would need to stay at a place with a fenced-in pool for safety).

Places I'm exploring so far:

-Lyon
-Montpellier
-smaller town like Cassis (which I LOVE but I'd really prefer a sandy beach)
-Antibes (I love Antibes and it fits perfectly but the weather and water temps in Cassis are perfect).

Recommendations?? Thanks!!
