I'm curious if anyone has one and would appreciate your feedback. Teslas are out. I'm not a fan of Elon Musk. I test-drove the Volkswagon ID4, but the range is meh. I didn't like the interior finishes. I'm trying to keep my purchase under 50K - and if I buy a slightly used model, under 40K.

Are you like 6 years old?
Maybe you would have an argument (big maybe) if Tesla cars were truly superior to the other EVs, but that is not the case anymore. Other brands have caught up and surpassed. Tesla have extremely cheap feing interiors, poor build quality, fit, and finish, and have baffling design decisions (no speedometer in front of your, no stalk on new model 3).
Last, questioning someone's principles, you sound more like you are six yourself. Completely get why poster may not want to support someone as right wing and crazy as Elon, nor drive a car in which he/she my get judged in.

I also have one. Agree that info screen is buggy. Long drives will soon be fine because Tesla has opened up their supercharging network to Ford (and Ford only, right now). Adapters (you have to get on a waitlist PP if you already have a car) shipping Jun24 so be sure if you buy to get the newer version of a MachE with the correct charger for the Tesla supercharger network. Then PPs comment won't hold.
Fwiw we have a Tesla S and a MachE and everyone in the family prefers the MachE. That said, long drives are quieter/more comfortable in the Tesla.
Both cars have great pickup.

Not six but don't want to contribute my dollars to Elon Musk. I drove a Tesla Model Y for comparison, and I didn't love it.
Thanks to pp who talked about the sightlines and the cabin size. I haven't driven a Mach- yet, but I will this weekend. I'm a small person, so hopefully, the size works for me. I want to love the Ioniq5 but I just don't like the looks of it. Please don't take offense but it looks like a car that a young guy would drive.
Pp here, and no offense taken! I get it! I actually think it helped that I test drove the car on a rainy day and didn’t spend a lot of time looking at the outside. By the time I did, I had already kind of fallen for it.
I hope you like the Mach! If I weren’t going to be toting kids and sports gear around, I might have ended up with that car. It just wasn’t the right car for me right now - so instead, I’m a 44 year old mom driving a young-guy-looking car. I can live with that.![]()
good luck with the search! It’s a little extra work to switch to EV, but we are really happy with our decision to do so (and to do so without lining Musk’s pockets).
