If you're more interested in things like college outcomes, I suggest you look at the college outcomes published by moco360.

The same kid will get the same education at any of them. They offer more or less the same curriculum and hire from the same teacher pool. There are some differences in test score averages but this reflects SES differences. In fact, if they show scores by school by HHI you'll see they're more or less the same. Basically, live in any area you like. If you buy into the test average myth, then look at a heatmap for HHI.

OP, this is a huge county so we need some context.. not just budget (though that is important to know) but also location (do you want to be near the city for commuting?), preference for urban/suburban/rural setting, importance to you of having so diversity in the school in terms of race/ethnicity/income level, etc. Provide that and we can be more helpful.

When you find a house that you might want to purchase (Zillow, Redfin etc), type in that street address into the MCPS school locator.

Each school has a school profile (just search "MCPS" the school name with a file type of PDF). This contains the details about the school. Pay close attention to the statistics.

Something to keep in mind is that Boundary Studies could change your school designation, so monitor this website carefully for those discussions as they occur.

Be careful and double-check the results using GreatSchools, Patch, etc. The reason is that someone has been tampering with official numbers (ex. Wootton is listed as 17% math proficiency but is actually 88% according to the Maryland State website).
