UofSC was taken off DD list. I highly recommend a visit if you are considering both schools in session to see for yourself.

While they are both southern schools, they are indeed different. Just because it wasn’t for my DD, doesn’t mean it won’t be for yours.

OP here. U South Carolina was a totally diff vibe .

NP. How is the vide different specifically? We have Clemson and UofSC on my DS’s list but we haven’t visited. Clemson seems rural and somewhat isolated and UofSC seems more urban and integrated into a city. Is this correct?

+1 Please provide specifics. Did you like UofSC?

DP-yes. Aside from location they are both large southern universities. Most students prefer one to the other, but to say they are totally different is wrong.

Clemson is far smaller than most of these schools at 22000 undergrads. Auburn, I think, might be a good match.

If you took out the southern part of the vibe (which I realize is the majority of the vibe), I'd say Penn State and Syracuse.

Looking to go tour schools that would be the same vibe as Clemson. What would you recommend?
