If you are not losing weight, you are not in a calorie deficit.Anonymous wrote:In 91 days, since December 31. I’ve lost 1lb.My face is thinner, my clothes a little loser but that’s it. Scale isn’t budging.
I am also 45 and perimenopausal so quitting alcohol was probably not a quick fix. Admittedly, I don’t have a lot of weight to lose. I’d love 5-10lbs.
I am very active and most days I hit my protein goals and stay in a calorie deficit. But I think I have been consuming too much sugar- 1. I have a sweet tooth and 2- my body was craving it a lot as I adjusted from the no alcohol and I haven’t been serious about limiting it.
I think it’s what is really needing to go next. Not sure I have it in me to apply my alcohol mindset to sweets but I need to try or at least seriously limit it.
Any tips?

1lb lost in 91 days in a claimed calorie deficit is not slow and steady. OP is doing something wrong if the goal is weight loss.
OP yes- I think giving in to sugar cravings is messing up the good days I am in a deficit. Nightly dessert or baking on the weekends.
I understand moderation more now with giving up alcohol and how I am not ready to moderate it so I don’t see myself picking it back up in the near future. I’ve always had a sweet tooth. I love to bake and I love candy but I have not viewed it the same way as alcohol where I truly don’t want it anymore.
