I’d see a sports medicine doctor. You could try a physical therapist first, but I’ve always had better luck w/doctor first and then PT vs straight to PT.
I had the start of a rotator cuff tear after many years of daily yoga and regular rock climbing. Shoulders are very tricky and IME very hard to heal and restrengthen. Not all PTs are good with shoulders, which is why I’d start with a specialist for proper diagnosis.
DP I've had shoulder issues for years. Many years ago it was diagnosed as bursitis, which I never hear about anymore. It stopped hurting for a long time but came back in recent years, and I suspected it was related to "Pilates pushups" and triceps pushups, which I don't do often but having my arms at that angle seems to aggravate my shoulder in a way that regular pushups don't. I think Chaturanga has a similar arm placement so maybe I was right?
