OMG thank you for articulating this. High rise jeans make women with a gut feel safe and secure because they have a piece of thick fabric covering that pooch, I guess. In their brain, they imagine the problem is solved because no one can see through that uninterrupted wall of fabric and spy their belly. Whew.
Except, all that fabric is accentuating and
calling attention to your gut. You may feel all tucked in but the look is 5 mos. pregnant, busting out under a cinched waistband. More flattering to locate a roomier waistband just under the bulge and wear a slightly longer top.
