I feel for you OP. I have dental anxiety so the thought of having to do it would send me over the edge. I would just take the full day off if you can - I think there is a possibility your guns and teeth may be sore for a bit. Good luck!

You should be fine.

I have terrible gums and a fear of dentists so I need nitrous every time I go to the dentist. Expensive as hell, but the big benefit is that when I need a deep cleaning they are able to do all 4 quadrants at once.

Yes. It’s really not a big deal. I did all four quadrants in one sitting.

Unfortunately I need to get a deep cleaning. I agree with the decision as my pockets are deep. I’m going to a periodontist with great reviews and have scheduled the appointments.

So my question- if my appt is at 8 and they schedule it for 1.5 hours (2 quadrants), how will I feel after? Will I be okay to return to work at noon? I’m a teacher and trying to figure out if I can get away with a half day sub.

Thanks.
