If you’re generally friendly with her I’d have no problem doing something like this, but it wouldn’t have occurred to me to make a worried post about it in that case. And even then I’d never do it again if she didn’t offer to pay for the burger.

If your primary motivation was fear, you need to look at if it was justified or just your personality. In the first case, get a new job; in the second, get a therapist.

This is insane lol and no normal person would ever ask this of a work friend. You might OFFER it to a work friend, but asking would be crazy! You can’t ask for someone else’s lunch!

OP I would have said no, but I would also look for another job.

At most I would have offered to go get them a lunch or teach them about phones and Uber eats.

She didnt demand your food, she asked, and you agreed to do it. You could have said no. You said yes and now are mad at your own choice.

+1 I had a boss do something similar (asked me if I’d go out and grab him coffee). He was a great person and boss and was completely swamped. I didn’t even give it a second thought. If I had just arrived with fresh coffee I’d given it to him too.

Maybe she thinks you are friends. If My supervisor is going was having a day with a tight schedule AND I had the time to buy another I would let it slide. But I’m also in an office where if someone is going out they will ask for orders

Why did you give her your lunch if you didn’t want to? You could have just said no?
Fear of retaliation. She may have a point… she doesn’t have time to get lunch and I obviously do. It was so unexpected.
