Because the other 2 schools had interesting digital design and arts programs. We didn't get first choice

Why did you/your kid apply for this program?

Same thoughts as PP. My kid goes to Parkland and really likes it, but he is super STEM-oriented naturally. In his case, the sacrifices are worth it because I think he's more engaged than he would be in a more traditional program, but not sure it would be worth the sacrifices without his interest in STEM.

If your kid is not into math, I would definitely recommend Argyle over Parkland, which has more arts classes to offer, particularly with digital art being an elective at Argyle.

Applied for choice based lottery and my kid got accepted in round 2. I honestly am not sure why Parkland instead of Argyle.
If your kid is not into Math, is it a good fit? My kid is more into art.
What about friend groups? That is a big concern for me since my kid is an average student and also shy.
Commute - do we have to drop off in homeschool? How early?
Course work - How difficult is it? Is it a true magnate? How much homework and does your kid have enough time left over for extra curriculars. Are there electives just like in home school?
If kid tries it and it isn't a good fit, can you back to home school? Also concerned that friend groups will be established by then in home school and it would be hard for DC.
I guess I am asking if it's worth it, the sacrifice in sleep, missing old friends and extra course work.
