The sister and brother who owned the restaurant were our neighbors many years ago, and lovely people. One year we went for our anniversary and they gave us one of the curtained booths in the back and the brother sang for us. It was wonderful!

Not exactly, something less formal. At the one restaurant I included in my OP, opera students worked as servers and would intermittently sing during the evening. It’s a more casual and intimate environment where others that enjoy the art of the opera can share a meal.

I’m from Philly where we had/have Franco & Luigi’s and The Victor Cafe that offer a lovely Italian menu with opera singers. Are there any restaurants in the DC area that offer something similar?
