Part of this is also true for W&M (small class sizes and all taught by professors).

Wake is more social and has far better sports, both of which were very important to my kid. I think W & M class sizes aren’t bad, but Wake keeps them small from day one, even introductory classes (classes sizes range from 10 to 50 for my STEM freshman), all taught by professors. If cost is deciding factor and you are in state for William and Mary, that’s an obvious choice.

I agree. And W&M more diverse, while WF more preppy/wealthy. The vibes are different but there are similarities. These were my top two choices many years ago! Picked W&M because couldn’t beat that in-state tuition.

Boy or girl? Know 2 boys who left WF recently-if you aren’t Greek inclined it can be a miserable social experience, esp for a boy.
