The Hoodlum (1951 film)--saw it a few months ago, it actually is a very good movie.

Please name some movies where the protagonists start out behaving badly in a funny or dramatic way, and get their comeuppance in the end not with a grand defeat or apology forgiveness, but just end up miserable and unhappy as result of their own behavior.
