She removed 3 fibroids total (at least one was submucosal, I think). I also had moderate endometriosis which was found only during surgery. I took a week off from work to recover. No TTC for 3 months while my uterus healed. I conceived naturally 4 cycles after being the green light to TTC again. I’ll forever be grateful to Dr. Danilyants.
Awesome, thank you for the rec! If you don't mind me asking, how old were you at the time of surgery? I am 35 so time is not on my side.
Not at all. I was 37 at the time of surgery and delivered my baby at 38.

I went to Dominion and was recently diagnosed with 2 submucosal fibroids (~3 cm) and was told to seek a gyn surgeon to proceed with removal of said fibroids before starting treatment. I have found very good reviews on Dr. Albert Steren, but those reviews seem to be from 10 years prior. Does anyone have recommendations on top-notch minimally invasive gyn surgeons in the DC/MD area. I am hoping to have these removed by a hysteroscopic myomectomy if possible to avoid scarring.
Dr. Steren did my myoectomy of a 5.5 cm submucosal last November. He is wonderful and his staff is great, too.
^^My surgery was hysteroscopic, btw. I highly recommend Dr. Steren.
