When Republicans win there will be no Medicare.

No worries Americans are stupid they will vote in Republicans.

Medicare is basically a new language. No more “family” coverage like when you are employed. Do yourself a favor and start educating yourself 6 months BEFORE you have to make a decision. This way, you can ask your friends and family members what choices they made and why.

Is there a "Medicare for Dummies" primer?

When you're turning 65, to shiphelp.org and find the SHIP office for your state. Someone will talk you through everything and help you with all the details.

Agree. And while I appreciate the safety net, navigating Medicare seems to be like it's going to be a complete nightmare. How do ppl do it? I'm about a decade away and even just the link posted was overwhelming to me.

Part A (Hospital Insurance) costs. $0 for most people (because they or a spouse paid Medicare taxes long enough while working - generally at least 10 years). If you get Medicare earlier than age 65, you won't pay a Part A premium.

Must sign up when you are 65 years old to avoid fee!
