I found myself 10 pounds over my preferred weight a year after having a baby, also concentrated in my stomach. Like you, I had always been a healthy weight and I honestly had no idea how to purposely lose weight. Here is what I did:

Get my fitness pal. Tell if what you weigh and how much you want to weigh. Do what it tells you for calories per day. Track everything. I found I was eating way more than I thought.

See if you have diastasis recti. If you do, follow the every mother exercise plan.

Every meal is an opportunity to diet. You have to eat every day, it does not matter how many kids you have and how long you work. Download an app like LoseIt and track your food. You don't need a gym to lose weight.

Skip breakfast. Honestly. You can still get 1200 calories a day without stressing over portions.

Have your husband step up and become a SAHM. You'll save money on day care and you'll be able to take them to a gym with childcare and work out.

IME, you have to go pretty hardcore. Moderation never really worked for me. Keto + IF, though you can ease into it. Psychologically, just accept that it will be hard and you will be hungry.

Good luck!

You have to look closely at what you are eating. Keep a log for a few days, it will be eye opening.

Are you wearing a shaper? Hold your tummy in most of the day. Do some crunches

I had a baby two years ago, at 43, and never lost the weight gain. I’m 20-25 pounds overweight now, whereas previously I was a healthy weight and always have been my whole life.

Has anyone else gotten back on track from a situation like this? Any advice? Yes I know, eat well and exercise - but it’s hard to do with two little kids and a job where I work 60+ hours a week. I’m not sure how to snap myself back into a healthier routine.

I don’t want to take weight loss medication. I have considered a tummy tuck, since the weight gain is concentrated in my stomach.
