That's weird, because that's definitely not how the lottery is supposed to work. When you are matched, the schools ranked below the match are supposed to be removed from your options.

In the scenario listed above if the sibling gets into Latin and pulls their HS sibling into Latin, that kid will never find out if they got into Banneker because they ranked Latin higher. So Banneker goes to the next kid on the list and their result is different.
Your kid's results depend on that, but Banneker made their selections.
I don't know why you feel the need to repeat that. Is it some sort of achievement to have made selections?
