Those kids go to Ohio State.

+1 Ohio has never sent large numbers of students to OOS universities, at least in comparison to the preponderance of NY/NJ/MD/CT/etc. kids who go to school in neighboring states.

Are these actually University sponsored busses? Or just linking to private companies like Our Bus, which serves many college campuses? To the PP above re Cornell, I believe it has only one actual University-sponsored route, which is between Ithaca and NYC campuses. All other routes are provided by private companies, at least a couple of which offer busses between many college campuses and population centers.

Here is where the buses stop (alpha order/not routes):

PA
Allentown
Breezewood
Erie
Harrisburg
King of Prussia
Philadelphia

NY
Buffalo
New York (Port Authority)
Rochester

NJ
New Brunswick
Secaucus

DMV
Bethesda, MD
Frederick, MD

This gives a good idea of where large clusters of students are from.

Large clusters of students or just covering most of the major metropolitan areas near Pittsburgh (Philly, NYC/NJ, DC, upstate NY).

It’s not free - just an option you can pay for.

+1
Lots of schools offer buses to locales near and far. But you still have to pay for your ticket.

I wish more schools had buses like Pitt does. Would make things so easier.
