Averaging PPG and cumulative isn't exactly the same.
U15 and up play everyone once. U13 & U14 play local teams twice and out of state teams once.
Boy and Girl schedules appear different from what I could see on the ECNL webpage. Girls play each team twice, while Boys play as you describe above (twice in-state, nearby/once out-of-state).

For U13/14, one game for out state teams, double games (Home/away) for in state teams.
Doesn't seem to add up. 2011's and 2010's this season for MA will play 24 league games. U15+ is different and probably more like you're describing for the spring sit out.

Not always. Sometimes games are not played at the end of the season if they don't matter. In the Mid-Atlantic conference the schedule is unbalanced at the U13 & U14 age groups. You play local teams twice and out of state teams once. This is one reason for PPG existence. The other? It's used as a seeding metric for the national playoffs.
