But the money is all on the girls side at least in most of the country -- you can charge more -- less financial aid. Most clubs prioritize the girls side.

GA is good. Question though. If all the great things that people are saying will happen to GA were actually in the planning stage, why is GA losing its top clubs?

Seems they would stay if there was a plan on the drawing board.

There is no debate as to the best league. The GA waters down quality soccer. It would be best served as a regional league.

Top boys will go MLSNext and top girls will go ECNL. What does that matter?

MLS and GA are not affiliated or are partners so it just doesn't matter.

I'll be more surprised when a GA club with MLS next for their boys side makes the ECNL jump. What I've noticed is that all the movement to ECNL this year have been clubs that already have ECNL NL Boys or they don't have any major platform for boys yet.

That is just not true. Loudon, VDA, McLean, and at younger ages Arlington has had top teams -- not bottom feeders. But even if they were bottom feeders -- they almost all get recruited in ECNL, even the bottom feeders.


Everybody needs college soccer players. There are not enough ECNL players to fill every college roster. Does ECNL/GA get you into the power 4 a higher rate, yes. But college soccer is college soccer ultimately, a complete waste of time unless you get that degree.

This. It's just salty ecnl parents jonesing for others to fail, which is pathetic, especially when you're right and ecnl teams around here are already getting stomped left and right .
