Common? No. If anything I'd think the cold temperature of the ice cream would make it difficult for the honey to run over the ice cream and it'd solidify the honey somewhat.

But I've had Turkish keymak, which is honey drizzled over a mascarpone type creamy cheese and it is delicious.

I don’t think I’d like that. But I like hot honey on a pepperoni pizza.

In a world devoid of spirituality, honey brings sweetness to otherwise empty lives.

I remember an episode of Oprah with Jamie Oliver on it years ago and he served ice cream with honey on it. I'm sure there was more to it.

Yum!!!

Also try real maple syrup. Had that in Montreal and will never forget it.

lol that’s the one I typically buy and I didn’t make the connection. But honestly, there’s something about what the honey does on the frozen ice cream. It’s so elevated over fage yogurt with honey. And plus I’m safely assuming my farmers market honey is better than what’s in a $1 cup of yogurt.

Should have kept going. It being trendy isn’t a knock, just that you’ll probably see it more places.

Sounds like it needs some cinnamon and then would be perfect!

Yogurt and honey is a popular Greek dessert. I think honey on ice cream is too sweet.

Fried ice cream done right has honey on it and it’s amazing.

In the freezer section I saw high-end Jeni's sells a new vanilla bean honey ice cream, which sounded interesting. Makes sense, it's pretty much a natural caramel, right.

We always stock Häagen-Dazs plain vanilla bean pints at home and have some local honey from the farmer's market.

I just drizzled some of that farmer's market honey on a couple of scoops of h-d vanilla bean after lunch. Legitimately amazing. Highly, highly recommend.
