There are a lot of Mormons in this area.

I wonder if the PP is confusing BYU with Boston’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital, which is first rate.

There's no way this is true. Especially since all women are encouraged to just get married and have babies.

This. The post must have been sarcasm. BYU does not have a medicine program.

That's essentially the same as an in-state flagship, and the in-state schools don't tell you who you can date.

BYU does not have a medical school. What program are you talking about?

The student behavior code is so restrictive at BYU, that almost anyone outside of the LDS religion would not be interested in such a stifling social environment. They have a good reputation for academics but there are plenty of equivalent options that don't require a conservative religious existence.

I think you probably just do not realize who is mormon. I'm not sure why it matters though. My kids HS always has kids going to BYU. Some are good friends and others are teammates. If there is a LDS church in your area there will be a lot of families who attend your kids schools.

I was thinking the same thing so I was incredibly surprised to see so many people from my kid's school committing to BYU. I didn't think that there were so many LDS families around here.

I'm see this school becoming more and more popular at my kid's school. Why is it so popular? Anyone have any thoughts?
