My did ED and got into her first choice in December. So, nope! I don't even care about her grades anymore as long as she isn't tanking anything--which she isn't.

Junior year SUCKEDDDDDDD. Closest I've been to wanting to divorce my husband. Felt like all I was doing was nagging my kid through the home stretch and I was always the "bad" one.

Now I am just like IDGAF.

Luckily my senior is not too stressed (of course things might change a little bit during AP exam week). All the big things are behind her (i.e. SAT, college apps, finishing with good 1st semester grades, etc.), so she is mainly looking forward to the fun part of senior year (and luckily no girl/friend group drama). She has applied to 12 schools and has been accepted to 9 out of 12. She is waiting for the final 3 decisions - but she is not too concerned (1 she won't go even if she gets accepted because she prefers one of the schools that she has already been admitted to; and 2 schools are Ivies so she isn't expecting any reasonable chance of acceptance). While she has not committed, her mind is pretty much set that she will go to school A. Frankly, the only person stressed is me b/c of the financial aspect of it all! "Back in the old days" my COA for W&M was only $10k a year!

This is me, too! DH has strong opinions and in my mind, those opinions have flimsy rationale. So I fear we are heading for a lot more stress before May 1!

No. Bored and ready to finish up senior year and move on.

My kid doesn't seem stressed. I am, which is funny because I'd be happy if the he goes to the state flagship, where he's already admitted. But older brother did well in college admissions and I don't want this one to feel like he didn't measure up.

So I while time away in DCUM and CC and try not to let the kid know I'm doing it!

We're just kind of trying to pass the time right now. I think every kid is different too, my older one was doing the whole "soiling the nest" thing right about now in addition to college stress and we were all absolutely miserable. My youngest by comparison is much more chill so it's helping, and given that I've been through the process I am probably less anxious as well.

But still on pins and needles.... and even I'm tired of people asking me where she is going to university. I can't imagine how annoying it is for kids. PSA: Never ask seniors where they are going.

The big stress was fall of senior year. Then he had a breakdown from the stress in the spring, but there wasn't additional stress from waiting for acceptances or making a choice. The choice, when it came, was easy after going to Admitted Student Days. We were happy he'd worked so hard to have lots of good options, but sad it took so much out of him.

No one seems to be stressed about a decision. We are going to 3 admitted student days next month and then he will make a decision. He is 99% sure which of the 3 he is going to, but wanted to go to the admitted students day to be 100% sure.

I am very stressed by the finances of college and slightly by the FAFSA (it was submitted before DS signed so now he is waiting for it to be rejected so he can sign it.)
