I agree 100% with you but unfortunately clubs and coaches does not care about doing the right thing, they just care about winning.

Not the PP, but will take a stab.

1.) What would the club scene look like if everyone did that? No clubs would exist because they would either have 27 kids rostered on every team in order to make sufficient revenue. Or, they would be bankrupt because they wouldn't take on enough fees. The counter argument would be - well, how do you know the parents aren't paying double the fees? Valid point, but this further exacerbates the pay for play model that we don't need more of in this country.
2.) MLS Next rules are that a player should not play with their school teams or other sports. While I find the rule ridiculous, MLS Next, from a league standpoint, says this is to protect the player against injury and overuse. If that is the stated rule, then playing with two teams full time within the same club is contrary to the nature of the rule.
3.) MLS Next has established a Futures model that allows kids to be dual rostered. That means they are primary players on the second team and area allowed to appear in up to 12 games per year for the MLS Next team. This model was created to give a kid who is identified as being on the cusp of breaking through to the top team exposure without overwhelming him. You can only be primary rostered on one team within an MLS Next club.
4.) Spots on teams are a commodity. If the kid is good enough to be starting on a first team, then are there kids sitting on the bench on the first team who are not given playing time on both? Also, sucks to be the 12th kid on the second team losing your playing time to a kid who just played 60 minutes with another team within the club. How is that equitable, fair, or in the best interest of developing all the kids?

Many more issues with this, but these are just some.

Read the rules.

You are allowed to play on two teams - that’s called Future Player status (not full time).

You are allowed to play with younger group - that’s called bio-banding. This requires MLS Next approval.
