OP, if he is in fairfax, look up the MAP clinics run by george mason. they can provide referrals and help get him medical attaenition

Op I e been in your shoes for the past 18 months. It’s heart destroying. I will say you can help but you can’t be a full service social service agency. They need to also be willing to get help


Also can he apply for SNAP?

Call 211 to get an overview of what social service resources might be available for him.

I just don’t even know where to begin to help? If I give $$ it will just buy time but no progress at stabilization.

He is not diagnosed but looking back at life I can see that at a young age he would have gotten an IEP/been diagnosed with ADHD/anxiety etc. we just found out he was too embarrassed to discuss situation—living in his car for the past few months. Job part-time no benefits. Fairfax County. He has no degree.
It’s very stressful and sad for him.

What county are they in? Are they diagnosed? Renting or own current housing? The type of assistance will depend n your responses

How does one go about getting help with county resources? May lose living area/unhoused
