Too much caffeine.

I went through a bad round of sinus infection. My right eye lid twitched constantly for a few weeks, along with terrible nasal congestion. Once the sinus infection was under control, the eye lid twitch went away.

I was a whacky looking lady for that period. Although my DD said she thought it was comical especially during times when she needed to have a serious conversation with me. Every time I responded to her, I looked I was just messing with her.

I had this a couple years ago. I thought I had a brain tumor bc the twitching was non stop. Eventually it just went away and hasn’t been a problem since.

This is my guess too. Once I started taking magnesium regularly my eyelid twitch went away.

Another vote for magnesium deficiency. Almost all of us need extra magnesium and this is a sure sign of a deficiency

I’m the PP with the month-long twitch and I will be so thrilled if this helps! Is there a specific kind of magnesium I should try? I remember reading about one kind that causes stomach issues but others that don’t.

Hydration. My eye doctor told me that.

I had a problem with a twitching eyelid that worsened to the point I sought an MRI.

The MRI showed nothing.

Based on some deductive reasoning and a later flare-up, I concluded that my eyelid problem was triggered by neck strain related to head position when looking at a large computer monitor. The first time was connected to my work equipment and the second to excess home computer use of a large monitor during the pandemic. Looking down at my laptop doesn't trigger it.

Insufficient sleep and caffeine may also contribute.

Good luck resolving your issues.

I just had this last week! I drank water, slept, and drank less caffeine. It is gone.

I have had these for a couple of months! Multiple doctors have told me it’s normal and happens sometimes and it’s stress or lack of sleep or too much caffeine. But there’s no way all of those are true all day every day! And it’s both eyes for me. I am more than a little freaked out but doctors insist it’s fine so…who knows.

Stress? Are you sure you are actually sleeping soundly?

I had this for over a month, maybe two. Took a big swig of tonic water and it disappeared. It’s worth a try.

It started over the weekend. It’s a twitch in my upper eyelid on the right side. Nothing in my life has been different.

I’m not tired and get adequate sleep. I’ve actually been going to bed earlier this week

I don’t need glasses, I had an exam recently

I’m not missing nutrients or anything like that, I eat a well-balanced diet and supplement

I can’t think of anything that would be causing this. It’s intermittent, only happens occasionally throughout the day. What could be causing this?
