I may have misread your double negatives but I think I understood your point. I don't agree with it - there are a lot of pontificating posts on this forum, by righties, by lefties, most of whom are loons. All of them could be reasonable discussion threads, if people were willing to engage. This site used to have discussion threads on the political forum, until most of the intelligent posters, both righties and lefties, gave up and left.

Indefinite detention? Deportation? How about a speedy trial and then imprisonment?

Oh, we can't, because we haven't funded our justice system (no one likes public employees anymore). Neither R nor D wants to fund detention and imprisonment anymore. Of citizens or non-citizens.

If you can detain non-citizens with convictions, pre-felony you have the authorization to have a wiretap or flip them (their info is already in the system) at later dates to convict the individuals who conspired to hire them for murder.
