Definitely Calleva. They also have a 2 week trip to Colorado that sounds great!

Does Overland pushes kids outside their comfort zone to help build resilience? We are looking for something like Outward Bound but nit to that extreme.

Attended many years ago, highly recommend.

It's everything you love about an outward bound program with great staff. It's not one of those crazy intensive programs for kids with problems, but it will push you outside your comfort zone in the best way possible.

Frost Valley in NY in the Catskills has SO MANY teen adventure trips - he can even get community service for some of them!

Outward Bound is an obvious choice. My son did one from Philadelphia a few years back. It was half hiking, half canoeing.

I think my rising hs junior would benefit from some sort of outdoor adventure type camp. I don't think he's ready for something as hardcore as NOLS, but a week of camping, hiking, paddling, fire building, etc. seems right up his alley. Any suggestions for places that might still have availability and won't break the bank? (He's done sleepaway camp for a few summers, but feels like he "outgrew it" so this seems like a good next step.) Preferably someplace driving distance (VA, WV, NC, PA, NY) but flying options not totally off the table.
