I liked the pizza at white rabbit but it is really expensive for what you get. You get 4 pieces of pizza for like $26. And it’s Frederick. There is a place in Bethesda which serves the same style pizza, is actually better and you get 6 or 8 pieces (can’t remember) for less than white rabbit. And just based on location Bethesda restaurants should not be cheaper than Frederick.

That being said for a 7 year old birthday mexican or casual italian is always a good choice. And I agree with another poster that a group of 10 is really on the borderline of a regular reservation versus having to have a party room. Usually online reservations won’t even let you make a reservation for a group that large. So I would start calling places to see if hat options you have.

The Wine Kitchen is too fancy for what OP is asking. Manalu may be as well, not sure, but the menu looks expensive.

Cugino Forno has the best pizza I have had in ages. It is so good! My family picked it up so I’m not as familiar with indoor dining, but I believe they do have it. I was very impressed with the pizza.

I have also heard White Rabbit is very good, but I haven’t been.

I will add Firestones on Market St. They accommodate a large table of people on their mezzanine.

Firestones closed a few months ago.

If you like Mexican op there is plaza Mexico on the canal which is always a hit with the kids that age.

10 people is a log. You are probably going to have to reserve a room or buy out a large area.

Not sure if you want to be downtown or not, but if you do, Brewers Alley is fun and has rooftop dining where you can watch Market Street. The menu is pretty broad so everyone should be able to find something. White Rabbit has great pizza, but I hate the ordering process with the QR code menu (they will bring paper ones if asked), but they get really busy during peak hours and the wait for tables is insane. Cugino Forno is the latest "hot" pizza spot, it gets lots of buzz on the Fredrick food social media scenes.

If you want something a little nicer than pizza, but not formal/fine like Dutch's Daughter/Monocacy Crossing, you may want to consider Fratelli's in Middletown, the food is great with huge portions, Italian and seafood but not super formal. You will need to call for reservations because they get really busy on evenings/weekends.

And, there is always Chuck E. Cheese on Guilford Drive (Since it's your son's Bday)

I am looking for a place in Frederick to celebrate my son's birthday with family. We are under construction so we can't host right now and Frederick is centrally located for the family coming together. My son is turning 7, so I don't want fine dining. It has been awhile since I've spent any time up there so I don't know what has opened up recently.

There will be 10 of us. TIA.
