Salute to all who purchased an overinflated ticket to catch a few minutes of a washed up guy who is now officially not playing

I heard last night that he was hurt Wednesday and is doubtful for tomorrow, if that sways anyone's decision.

Saw him in Paris last year. No big deal.

We went to the InterMiami game in FL last Saturday and he played the whole game. It's worth seeing him, as well as the other aging stars on the team. Suarez scored 2 goals in the first 11 minutes.

The only problem I see is the return leg of the Concacaf Champions League game against Nashville is right before the DC game. He will definitely be starting for that game at home in Miami. On the positive for you is that Miami's bench is very thin right now. I think Messi would at least make a showing off the bench if nothing else.

In soccer they announce the lineup an hour before. Maybe people will figure out if he is on the plane or not as an indication.

If you don’t go to the game and Messi plays you will have missed a rare opportunity. If you skip the tournament and he doesn’t play, there will be plenty of other tournaments for your kid to play. Go to the game.

I think quite likely he plays — it's the only MLS game in that time slot on Saturday and the league will want to feature him on Apple TV. He isn't going to miss a league match so he's fresh for a friendly with the national team. Maybe he won't play 90 minutes, but personally, I'd think it's worth missing a youth soccer game for a chance to see the greatest player ever.

If you have season tickets then just go. If he plays he plays if not, whats the big deal. Like you said cost isnt the issue, or did you come here to flex?

They are completely sold out and you can buy tickets through resellers but they are expensive!!!! When I looked it was a couple grand for 3 of us and he isn’t guaranteed to play

What do people think are the chances that Messi plays against DCU on 3/16??

Originally he was suppose to be with Argentina but it looks like he will be in Philly on the 23 for a friendly.
