A well ran and organized club would announce the coaches prior to ID sessions and tryouts.

Happens all the time. Always be skeptical when a TD is listed as the coach, especially if the TD didn’t have that year/age group the year prior.

I feel like it is around the beginning of April that you should start seeing clubs post that based on what has happened in the past. I expect they work on coaches over the winter and once they have them they move to the actual schedule but that is just my guess. If you look at VYSA job postings there are a lot of clubs looking for coaches.

Why would a club hold tryouts or ID sessions when they don't even have the coaching slate out.

Depends on the league, most NL teams have announced. RL/NCSL/EDP those slates will probably come out a few weeks before those clubs hold ID sessions.
