What health insurance do you have? Mine covers it, IMO wisely since it's decreasing the chance I'll get expensive conditions like diabetes or heart disease.

Not OP but I am overweight with high cholesterol and my doctor wouldn't prescribe. I don't want to have to shop around for a doctor. Frustrating that another formerlly overweight friend is now thin but I have to go hungry to barely see any results and stay overweight.

There are lots of things I can't afford. I don't begrudge someone with a medical condition who can access this, covered by insurance (??!!). Clearly they need it more than I do. Some insurances cover botox for migraines, but not for my 11's. I don't begrudge the migraine sufferers for having access to it.

25 lbs at a normal BMI is vanity weight. Pay for your own botox. Pay for your own weight loss meds.

Are you sure your insurance won't cover it? I'm 5'4" and was 185. My insurance covers Wegovy. I lost 40 pounds in the last year. It's a complete game changer.

It will be affordable when it is widely available in the rest of the world and you can start purchasing it online

When you make more money so that you can afford it. There is a reason your insurance won't pay for it. It's not needed in your situation.

It is available to you.

How do you “have 25 pounds to lose” but are close to normal BMI? These drugs were never intended for that use case. Why would you want to alter your biochemistry for that result?

Sounds like you need therapy to work on your self confidence and body dysmorphia, and not ozempic.

It's available to you, but you likely are not able to afford it until your insurance covers. We can't answer that for you.

I have 25 pounds to lose. I do workout regularly but am menopausal and am really having a difficult time with diet. Insurance won’t cover weight loss drugs for me. My BMI is close to normal.
