I don't know if you had hardwood floors redone, but ours were done right before we moved back in. I was terrified of scratching my lovely new floors so I bought a bunch of rubber things to put down under couches, chairs, etc.

I threw them down under much of the furniture, and it provided us a little leeway to adjust pieces as we got used to the space. I could probably now get rid of them if I wanted, but I figure it can't hurt to have extra protection.
Also, look everywhere for things that could have been missed...our contractor forgot a board under one cabinet in the kitchen we didn't notice until six months later.
And congrats! I was SO HAPPY to be back in my new and improved home. I am so glad we did it, but I never want to do that again.
