I’m fine with it. I assume it has happened multiple times in the last four years since teachers only get so much sick leave and aren’t motivated to test as a result (I’m the same — we’re all socially disincentivized from testing at this point). I guess they could send a mailer saying someone has Covid like they do for HFM but I would ignore it just like I do for HFM.

Teachers should return to work when they feel better and are not contagious but preschool teachers are so poorly paid and have lame benefits that I would not be surprised if one wanted to get back to work ASAP.

The experts are ok with spreading a contagious disease that has serious consequences for some of us.

Nope. I’m a teacher and I don’t test anymore. If I don’t have a fever, I drag myself into work. I don’t have a lot of sick days and need to save them for my own kids. Besides, when we are out too much then parents complain . Lose lose situation

Should parents be told? Absolutely not.

No, they don’t need to be told.

With a mask, sure, but at this point it’s better they don’t even announce it.

If they’re unlimited getting paid leave they can stay home longer but realistically, 4 days is reasonable now.

Yes, it's best if she wears a mask, but obviously she won't.

Would you feel differently if it were flu or a no name virus?

Be kind, wear a mask

Don't tell me if the teacher had covid. I don't care. And yes, they can return when they are better. I wouldn't be testing at this point.

She doesn’t even have to test anymore. Would you rather not know? I’m a teacher and I just don’t test.

Posting in General because I want a general opinion. New guidelines say you just need improving symptoms and no fever. Should parents be told their teacher is positive?
