My guess is OP's kid is still getting bullied and that's how they know. If it's still happening the school isn't doing enough.

You say the school isn't addressing the bullying - how do you know? I know at my school we do address bullying, but because we're not allowed to talk about the child's punishment or how we've handled things, parents say we're not doing anything.

Unfortunately it’s likely the only claim you have is breach of contract based on your enrollment agreement. There’s not a lot of causes of actions against private schools, they can do what they want.

We are in the same boat and others are quick to suggest that we leave the school immediately. Switching to a public school is not so easy in DC where our neighborhood school is less than ideal. I feel your pain because you want your child to feel safe, but at the same time, you can’t just let the school do this to your child.

What is your goal - a safe environment or to be paid for damages? Think hard about what is going to actually get your outcome.

There is 1 quarter left in the school year. Baring any significant special needs that require extensive support, pull him and out him in your local public to finish the year.

Your kids mental health is worth more than being right and make the school do something they don’t want to.

OP - In all communications with the Principal, I would be CC the Superintendent of Schools and sharing a summary of the situation.

If you feel he's unsafe, then move him. No one is forcing you to stay at the school. You're going to waste a lot of time and money with a lawyer (and make a ton of enemies, though I realize that doesn't matter)

Thank you. We are looking into options for another school, but in the meantime we want him to be safe in his current environment.

We are in NoVA. Please recommend an attorney for a private school not addressing harassment/bullying.

Thank you
