IMO, the challenge will be that any private small to mid-size school that a kid with stats for Brown and Pomona would be willing to attend and parents willing to pay for is going to be tough to find. They may also need to show enough demonstrated interest that the school, wouldn’t defer/waitlist them and offer enough merit/be at a price point that the parent is happy with the option. Generally speaking if they are willing to look at Catholic schools there are several like Gonzaga, University of Dayton, Loyola Maryland, and Providence College that come to mind that likely have a decent number of business/econ majors, strong alumni base and high acceptance rates. If Catholic schools aren’t on the list, maybe look at the midwestern LACs that are T40-T80 where acceptance rate is at least 50%.
