That is odd. Wouldn't the financial aid explanation for child #2 also apply to child #1?

Sounds like they were unable to offer FA for two. They may have figured if they didn't/couldn't accept both you would decline.

We didn't apply, because of distance, but we went to the Open House because family members wanted our opinion, and I was super impressed. It seems like such a lovely community. If it was closer to our house, I think it would have been at the top of my own kid's list.
