You said you don't want to be nosy, but I don't think it's nosy at all to ask. This is where you send your child. In my experience when people leave a daycare/preschool because of an issue, they're usually very happy to talk about it. I would ask. If they don't want to talk about it, fine. Since it's a few friends I'd be super shocked if no one will talk to you.

Why can't you meet up?

This is my last kid's daycare year before going to K this fall. A few of long time friends for DD left this daycare due to something happened at daycare, and I have no clues what they are. I knew that daycare quality has gone down since covic, but we are still okay with it. I don't want to be nosy asking them for details but I am really curious what has happened. Kids have known each other for 3 years.

They were upset and pulled their kids out of daycare going to different one. They did that a few months apart from each other. My kid seems to be happy at daycare, but I have mixed feeling and feeling sad that they can't meet each other. I think they won't disclose or share until my kid graduate from this daycare.
