Most all of the land east of 15 is meant to be developed to some degree even if it’s at low densities. It would be a shame if the residents block the high school due to the light pollution. For a true “dark sky” stargazing, one must now travel to West Virginia or a certified dark sky park like Glacier in Montana.

And this is why we chose the northern part of Ashburn over Brambleton and other, newer communities when we were house-hunting 5 years ago. We preferred the stability of well-established neighborhood schools with less likelihood of frequent rezoning.
