If you’re already in a W school, just send the sibling there. You won’t have transportation issues and they will get to know more neighborhood kids. If you are interested in APs, there are plenty to choose from. There’s nothing wrong with Blair but if not in the magnet, what would you gain? My understanding is if you get a COSA, there’s no transportation so that will make Blair inconvenient.

Anonymous wrote:Yes you can. My 9th grader was offered a spot at Blair bc her older brother is there in the magnet.
Don’t get your information from DCUM. Call the Division of Consortia at MCPS and ask.
Good luck!

We understand that she will not be in the Blair magnet program as she will be in 10th grade next year. So can she attend as a "regular" Blair HS student? It would make our schedule much easier. If yes, would there be advanced class options/AP available to her? TIA!
