Same, but we’re going to a music studio, so the teacher is only getting a portion of it.

DD switched to 45 minute violin lessons at 7, but probably did it slightly earlier than normally would have because paired well w/ easing 3 year old brother in with 15 minute lessons. Hers come out to close to $100/lesson, but it's a Suzuki program that includes some other pieces (e.g., monthly group lessons, play-ins, etc).

Forgot to mention that we switched to 45 mi in 2nd grade. Prior to that we did 30 min lessons.

We pay $70 for a 45 minute piano lesson. It's way more than I wanted to pay, but my son really likes her and wants to do well for her, so I decided to suck it up and pay. We are lucky we can afford it.

We started with 30 min lessons at the Levine School of Music Suzuki Strings, which has semester payments. I can't remember how much it was, but along those lines.

Then when DC was 9, we switched to a private studio and paid $100/hr, then ramped up to two lesson a week.

I pay $45 for a 30 minute string lesson for 7 yo, does this sound typical?
I am wondering when kids tend to switch to longer lessons (45-60 minutes)
