We have an egg purveyor at our farmers market, the eggs are not good.

I’ve had backyard eggs - amazing. And my favorite branded egg is Vital Farms.

The "rick" yolk color is easily changeable by putting crap in their food. You're being duped.

I don't think my neighbor who has 20 chickens roaming around her yard is dumping me, but you do you.

Maybe that's all he can afford

I can absolutely tell the difference.

Not only can I taste the difference, I can SEE the difference. Not all farmer's markets have local, free-range eggs. If they truly are, they are VERY different from what you get at the store.

I can taste the difference. It's more noticeable if your grocery store eggs are the cheap thin-shelled kind, less noticeable if you're starting from better-quality free-range/pastured 'grocery store' eggs. There's still a difference, but might be harder to distinguish.

I also notice the difference in how they hold up in baked goods.

I personally can’t taste the difference either. I do believe healthier animals, fed a bio-appropriate diet, make healthier food, and I also believe in using my $ to support more humane farming practices. But, as far as taste, I couldn’t tell you.

For me, it is easier to tell cheap meat vs. quality meat and I can usually tell a difference with milk, cream, and butter too.

You can definitely taste the difference. Fresh farm eggs taste better.

Its not just about taste. It also matters what ot does to the body. Free range will hopefully have less antibiotics and hormones fed to the chicks

I can taste the difference. Grew up on farm with chickens. Taste is way better. My wife who is a city girl can't tell difference. YMMV

I can never taste a difference. The yolks may be a richer color, but they all taste like plain eggs.

These are from a trusted salt of the earth multi gen farmer who feeds them good food. He said the family would be able to taste the difference. Nobody can taste any difference.
