How is Parkmont academically? What kind of kids go there? My impression is that it is more of an alternative school than a SN school. Which is fine for kids who need it, but still searching for that school for my kid
who actually does well mainstreamed every way except academically.
I'm not sure what you mean by the bolded -- not doing well academically is no small part of school!
My understanding of Parkmont is that its student population is mixed. It has some kids with autism/mild LDs and other kids who use the DC voucher to escape poor schools in DCPS.
But if your main focus is academic support/LDs, I agree that Parkmont wouldn't be the right choice. I would look at Lab and Siena for that.
