Post that you are looking for a nanny on Nextdoor.com . We’ve gotten a lot of leads there. Also, if a nanny you interview doesn’t work out because of a scheduling issue or availability, don’t hesitate to ask if they have a friend who’d be interested in your position.
Craigslist worked for us as well. I think the job posting costs $35. We found a wonderful live in nanny who stayed with us for 8 years on Craigslist
Finally, good old fashioned word of mouth: I told so many people that I was looking for a nanny and asked if they knew someone : my cleaning lady, my neighbor’s cleaning lady, the cafeteria lady at my office building, local houses of worship , … I was able to get a few leads that way as well.
Just keep in mind that the yield will be extremely low and don’t get discouraged quickly.
