Do you know anyone in mothers of north Arlington? If so you can ask them to send an email to the list serv on your behalf

Post that you are looking for a nanny on Nextdoor.com . We’ve gotten a lot of leads there. Also, if a nanny you interview doesn’t work out because of a scheduling issue or availability, don’t hesitate to ask if they have a friend who’d be interested in your position.

Craigslist worked for us as well. I think the job posting costs $35. We found a wonderful live in nanny who stayed with us for 8 years on Craigslist

Finally, good old fashioned word of mouth: I told so many people that I was looking for a nanny and asked if they knew someone : my cleaning lady, my neighbor’s cleaning lady, the cafeteria lady at my office building, local houses of worship , … I was able to get a few leads that way as well.

Just keep in mind that the yield will be extremely low and don’t get discouraged quickly.

I posted on another thread, but honestly I've had the most luck on care.com. Try upping your rate range above $25 a hour and you should have a lot of nannies replying to your post. I would say maybe $27-$35.

You will have to weed through a lot of duds but eventually we were able to find a wonderful fulltime nanny. We also found a great weekend nanny/babysitter that comes once every two months or so from care.com.
