OP here, he looks interesting, do you know someone who has used him before?

I feel your anxiety but it ended up not being a big deal. Any competent CPA should be able to help.

Op here. We are still trying to find some to help with this. A lot of fear mongering online. If you dont mind sharing, did you use Withum for your issue then? How did you all resolve it? did you had to pay penalty.

OP, in addition to amending your prior year taxes, you will also need to file a BSA/FBAR form for each year. This is not an IRS form, but a TD/FinCEN form. It is due by April 15 each year. It can be filed online. More information here -

That should be a pretty simple fix with amendments to your past returns. It does cost money to do those amendments, but if the CPA can also find some mistakes or savings that can offset the cost of the amendments.

I know that my CPA has experience with international tax issues but not sure about Europe specifically: https://galaxydirectory.org/business-listing/ikeep-consulting-llc/

Hi there,
I am looking for an accountant who understands foreign accounts.
DH is from a European country and has some accounts that we need to declare in our tax return and report.
Problem is we should have been declaring that but didn't because of negligence/ignorance.
Anyway we need to fix it asap and need an accountant with experience.
we are in the DMV if that helps.

Thanks
