We have gone to 5 wits with our kids, 11 and 13. We had a lot of fun but it went very fast! I’m afraid with that many people you’d get through the whole experience in like 10 minutes.

Most escape rooms I've been to only charge by person, not by room. So 12 kids in 2 rooms is the same price as 12 kids in 1 room

Sure. And I love escape rooms, but I don't like doing escape rooms with more than 4.

Since many rooms are now non-linear (in that not all puzzles have to be solved sequentially), if you 6 or more people, you end up escaping the room, but missing out on a lot of puzzles. It def takes away the fun to do a 60 minute room in 25 minutes just because there are 8 people in the room

5 wits is fun. It's a little more physical than most escape rooms, so I think it would work well for that age.

Trying to plan my 7th grader’s birthday party. He said he wanted to do an escape room but the ones I have looked at have a max of 8. He has a lot of friends and I don’t think he could cut his guest list to 6 without hurting feelings of close friends he hangs out with often.

Is 5 wits appropriate for 12-13 year olds?

They can at least have 12 per game.
